Your Personal Training programme is just that 'personal' and will be designed specifically to meet your individual needs, ability, fitness level and particular goals.  Depending on your training requirements we may focus on your Cardiovascular fitness by Walking, Running, Circuit Training or maybe use Boxing Gloves & Pads for a bit of fun.  Resistance Training to develop strength, muscle mass or just tone and firm.  Or combine Cardio and Resistance training to BURN FAT FAST with a Kettlebell Workout

Weight Management Are you a serial dieter and want a lasting solution to your weight problem?  Tried Slimming World, Atkins Diet, Weight Watchers, Herbalife, Cambridge Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet, Detox Diet, Celebrity Diets, Juice Diet, GI Diet............  the list is endless but the only pounds you are sure to lose are the ones made of pennies not ounces!

DIETS DON'T WORK.  Yo-Yo dieting is harmful and as a process in its own right is probably the best way to gain weight as you restrict yourself to eat almost nothing your body rebels and makes you feel hungry.  Then after a week or two of starting your diet you will be thinking of nothing but food and therefore start eating more and put on more weight than you were before.

Weight Loss Surgery, an alternative treatment option for Obesity, is on the increase as the statistics below illustrate.

Most people know what healthy eating is but need support to tackle the psychological aspects of their eating habits.   In order to control your weight long term you need to make small but permanent lifestyle changes, such as choosing lower fat milk, swapping pastry for a piece of fruit or cycling to work instead of using the bus or car.  It is only when these small changes become habit that it stops being like a diet and is associated with the increased chance you will maintain it life long. 

I will work with you through structured weekly diet and activity planning and analysis to enable you to reach and maintain your desired weight for life.  And remember if you are eating better so is your other half, your family and your friends.  Be warned once you start feeling the benefits of healthy eating it is catching.

Healthy Active Kids ARE YOU KILLING YOUR KIDS?  Obese Kids = Obese Adults.
  • Are biscuits and crisps freely available to your kids (and you)?
  • How much time do your kids spend watching TV, playing computer games?
  • Do you regularly have puddings, ice-creams or treats?
  • Do you often have takeaways or pizza late in the evening?
  • Do your kids hate P.E.?  Did you hate P.E.?  Do you encourage physical activity as a family?  (P.E. reinforces negative experiences.)

These figures should make you reflect on the message you send to children.  Parents should set an example to their children and choose healthy options.  Specific exercise programmes and nutritional advice is available for individual children but I encourage activity and a healthy eating plan be incorporated for the whole the family to enjoy and benefit from.
